  1. (continued from previous page)
I started in search of my own door. Round and round the walls I went again and again but though I found the four corners no house could I meet. Stranger still my hand never came in contact with the gate and as no one passed I never knew when I was walking along the road wall. Don't think I was frightened - I wasn't.
Growing tired of walking, I sat down and remained in this position till daylight came. Before the sun came up I thought I felt the earth stirring under me but still I did not lose my courage. With the first rays of light I discovered that I was sitting in the centre of the churchyard and not, as I thought, within a yard of the wall and there, right before me, was the wide-open door.
