- (continued from previous page)a bridge and the soldier said "Hault, get down". There was a house near the bridge and the soldier said, "Go into that house and get a spade and shovel". The car-man did as he was told. They commenced to dig at the abbutments of the bridge and after a short while digging they came on a large flat stone. They both lifted it into the car and the solider said "I'll never be seen on this earth again". He bid the horseman goodnight and he dissappeared. The car man's name was Westropp from Collrea which is near Killestry. Who has not heard to the Westroppe's of Coolrea? They are the most tyrannical landlords living today and are the lineal decendants of the car-man.
