    When the marriage ceremony is over
    they all come back to the bride-
    groom's house and enjoy themselves
    dancing and singing. Straw-boys do
    not visit the house in which the
    wedding takes place. It has never
    been remembered that those attending
    the wedding raced (?) against each other
    on the way home. Yes, wives did sit
    on horse-back with their husbands. About
    eighty on a hundred years ago it was
    customary for wives to come home
    with their husbands on horse-back.
