  1. An underground tunnel starts at Kyle Park (Borrisokane). It leads through Garryard, Capensmere, under Kyle-na-goona lough, and it ends at Milford House. A local tradition gives it down that it was used by the Danes the time they invaded Ireland as a place of removing their troops from one place to another. Also old people say that there is a large flag stone in the middle of Kyle-na-goona lough and if it was removed the lough would dry up. A man by the name of Patrick Treacy of this town entered it at Capinsmere with two lighed candles went in for about
