flooded all the winter months not a drop of water is ever seen in the well. Cures for many ailments were effected by using the water from this well and it is regretable that this holy well was interfered with as I have described. In a field nearby there is a rock on which Saint Simon knelt in prayer. There are two hollows in this rock and it is said that these were made by Saint Simon's knees.
