  1. 1. Raheen - Ráthín the circle fort. On the hill of Raheen is a circular fort of earth and at one end are the remains of an old castle. The old people believed that gold or valuables were buried here.

    2. Friarstown - Baile na mBráthar. The townland of the Friars.

    3. Drombanna - Drom Bainne - the milky ridge.
    Ballinagarde - Baile na gCeárd townland of the “Trades”

    4. Tubberyquin -Tobar Uí Chuinn- derives it’s name from a well of that name.

    5. Ballyneety - Baile an Fhaoitigh or Whitestown.

    6. Cahernorry - Carn Fheardia Translated by some as Cathair na h-Aithrighe - The Caher of repentance: traces of the Cathair or Carn are visible on the hill of Cahernorry.

    7. Lickadoon: The sloping land of the fort
    Leach ‘n Dúin - The Dún from which it gets its name is not known.
