  1. Long ago there was a stone house in a sheltered corner of John O'Dea's hill. The remains are to be found still. It was called the "sweat house". The old people of the neighbourhood used to light bushed in it until the walls were red. They crawled into it and sweated themselves, they firmly believed it was a cure for rheumatism.
