    purpose they were dipped + redipped in melted fat or tallow. They were allowed to partly dry after each dipping. When they were thick enough they were left to one side to harden, + when they were considered to be well set, they were hung in bundles from the rafters of the kitchen. They were easily [?] by means of the loops at top.
    They were then taken down + used when required but the light from them was bad + there was a very disagreeable odour from them.
    Brazzill's, Ballintubber have still one of the frames used for hanging (on) the candles as they were being made.
