  2. Old Irish customs.
    On St. Bridget's eve over 40 years ago I saw a little cross, made of bulrushes, stuck up in the thatch inside the door, in honour of the Saint.
    On St. Martin's eve the old people used kill a hen or a goose and spill the blood in honour of the Saint. I remember I cut my finger accidentally with a
