forts for fear the fairies would harm them.
The story is told that the owner of the fort in Morenane ploughed his fort before dinner one day and that when he came out after dinner the strokes were all turned back again.
Trees and bushes have been cut from the forts at Moig and Ballyvogue and a house for horses has been built on the latter one without any ill results.
An underground passage is supposed to connect the fort at Moig with that at Newtown.
