    Some people say that the first ten days of April are knows as "Old March". Other people say "Old March" does not end until the 16th April.
    The 10th April is known as the Cows Day.
    Monday is an unlucky day to break anything, or to go into any house to start working for the first time. Tuesday is a lucky day to get married.
    August is thought an unlucky month to get married.
    People say that from St. Bridget's Day to St. Patrick's Day it would be rainy every second day.
    People say that if it rains on St. Swithen's day it would be raining for 40 days and 40 nights.
