  1. When the Holy Family were going to Egypt Herods followed them and the Holy Family hid behind a cobweb and that is why a person should put a cobweb to any part of them that would be bleeding because the Holy Family were saved by a cobweb from blood.
    When our Lord was dying on the cross there was a weed growing at the foot of the cross witch is now known as the blood-weed the old people say it got that name because a drop of the sacred blood fell on it.
