  1. Long ago there stood in the parish of Castle Mahon an old castle, which was titled the Castle of Mahon and which was haunted. People who were acquainted with this old building scarcely ever visited it after dusk, as the ghost of a tall man to be seen there mostly every night.
    One night a woman who was a stranger in the place, saw the ghost walking around the castle. As a result of the fright she got, she entered the nearest house, the occupants of which were owners of the castle and were
