    On fair Clonmeen when fields are green.
    And the sun shines out from skies of blue
    And crystal streams come rushing down
    To join the lordly Avon Dubha.
    Where e're you roam away from home
    Your eye will gaze on many a scene.
    For beauties rare and balmy air
    None can compare with fair Clonmeen.

    The Alpine snows and icy floes
    Delight the noble Tyrolese
    The Spaniard thrills his light guitar,
    'Mid beauties of the Pyrenees.
    Poets sublime of every clime
    Mount Hillary has never seen,
    With robes of brown and purple crown
    With pried look down on fair Clonmeen.

    Are laden now with sighs and moans
    Though empires shake and nations quake.
    And monarchs tremble for their thrones.
