    prepared in the churn, to make the butter the horse is then harnessed to a churning gear which is joined to the churn, the horse goes around in a ring and the churn is turning around. When the horse is going around and the horse keeps going around until the butter is made.
    There is an old superstition about butter making. If any person came to the house when the butter was being made they should put their hand on the churn or if they did not they would take away the person's luck in making butter.
