It is a sign of snow when blackbirds and thrushes gather around the farm-yard.
If the cat stays near the fire it is a sign of snow.
It is a sign of bad weather when hens stay together and pick each other's wings.
It is a sign of rain when alot of crows gather together inland.
A sign can be seen in the sky when bad weather is coming it is called the black hob.
Loud quack the ducks the peacocks cry,
The distant hills are looking nigh,

The busy flies disturb the kine,
The soot falls down the spaniels sleep,
And spiders from their cobwebs creep.
