    Once upon a time there lived a blacksmith on the shores of Lough Corrib and his wife was dead and he had one son who helped him at his work at the forge When the boy was fourteen years old he got very ill. At last he became so bad that he had to take to his bed
    All the doctors of the district were called but no one could do any think to make him better. It seemed that he must die, all of a sudden he got an enormous appetite. All day long he called for food. The father was very troubled and at last he decided to go to a wizard he lived at Clanbur. The old man listened to his story and said I am certain this creature is not your son
