  1. Lus na manta - It grows in soft mossy places and near wells. One side of the leaf is smooth and silky and the other side is covered with hairs (not coarse) The smooth side is supposed to heal sores and the rough side to draw pus from sores.
    Meachain dá abha - has a thick root which is boiled and pounded up and used as a poultice for boils especially. Not so much used now but was used up to about 30 years ago.
    (1) The juice of bainiceen len was used to clear away warts. Tis used yet.
    (2) Water that would rest in hollow of rock.
    (3) A piece of raw fat bacon - the older
