  1. M'anam a Dia, but here it comes
The train with the fourteen rifles
The engine is boarded by gallant men
Who do not stop at trifles
Ah my; sure isn't it grand it looks
    With drunken Tommies bawling
And it fills with joy each rebel heart
    To hear the whistles warning

    (II)
This one short hour pays lavishly back
For many a cold nights waiting
Full soon our guns will loudly crack
    And leave the enemy wailing
Each man will mind his alloted post
    All dread and danger scorning
And strike a blow at the Saxon foe
And show him our way of warring

    (III)
Ho! Ho! On the engines footplate stand
    With pulses proudly beating
Two men who are keeping a sharp lookout
    For the friendly signal greeting
And now they see the flashlamps glow
    And give the driver warning
To stop the train at the proper spot
Or he would not see the morning
