There used to be, they said, a fairy hunt around mnc, and along the country up toward Aultagh wood.

There use to be, they said, a fairy hunt around Manch, and along the country up toward Aultagh wood.
Johnny Lordan (d. 1930 - 90 yr.) and Dick Forbes (d. 1928 - 80 bl.) were one night minding a cow that had gone bogging. Having raised her they lit a fire to warm her and stayed there all night. It was below at "Clochín Tóimeach" they were, in Behagh. They heard the hunt that night, heard the sound of galloping horses, and the crack of whips, and the beagles yowling, and the horn. That was fifty or sixty years ago.
