  1. About 25 years ago two girls Nora Warren, and another girl were returning home from a wake in Ballineen. It was about 2 a.m., when they were going by Kilcaskan, a place 3 miles south west of Ballineen. They heard noise of saddles creaking, hounds baying, and a horn blowing, as if there was a hunt on. They heard the hunt crossing the Bandon river and going in the direction of Manch. Several people in this locality have had the same experience as these girls.
