  1. A Song (continued)

On the eighteenth day of april

    (continued from previous page)
    Which made their English frown
As fast as they could strike a blow
    The knocked the soldiers down
The place was like a slaughter house
    For in the soldiers lay
The Officer and all his men
    In cars was drawn away
Before we do conclude those loins
    Let young and old unite
And offer up a fervent prayer
    Both morning noon and night
And hope the Lord he may pertect
    While in America.
