  1. In this townland of ours there are many forts and some of them are not far from our present school. In the lands belonging to George Martin there are two or three forts and some people are afraid to pass them at nightime as they imagine that they see fairies. This land is situated in the townland of Glanduff.
    Long ago those forts were built by the old Irish for protection from wild animals and ribbers. Some of those forts are very large and others are small. They are all in circular shape and there are black
