  1. There was a man one time living in Brideswell. There was a forge in the village . He went to the blacksmith and there were in the forge getting their horses shod. This man was waiting for his turn to come to get his horse shod. When it came to his turn the blacksmith asked him what did he want done. He said he wanted three foremost shoes on his horse. All that were in the forge were laughing for a long time after that.
