    Ash Wednesday.
    Ash Wednesday is the day after Shrove Tuesday. The old people do not like to eat eggs or drink milk in their tea on this day even though it is not forbidden by the Church.
    Chalk Sunday. Chalk Sunday is the third sunday after Easter. It was an old custom for the girls to dress in blue and visit the church on this day but this is not done done nowadays.
    Holy Thursday. Holy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter Sunday. There are never any entertainments on this day.
    Good Friday. Good Friday is the Friday before Easter Sunday. It is an old custom to sow plants, and cut hair on Good Friday. People never drive anail on this day.
    Easter Saturday and Sunday. Easter is a moveable feast. It is an old custom to eat eggs on Easter Sunday, and some people get up early to see the sun dancing.
