  2. Kilmore. There is an old castle in Kilmore. It is situated north of Mount Plunkett and east of Carrowndrisha. It was the residence of Sir Arthur Shane, and it was built in the fifteenth century. It was once occupied by a military force.

  3. Scregg.
    There was an old castle in Scregg. It was situated on the summit of a hill convenient to the present Scregg House. It is demolished now and the stones were used to build the present Scregg house.
