  1. Long ago there lived near Drimoleague a woman by the name of Nora. She said she was in the habit of seeing the "Good People". A man by the name of John was living with his wife, about a mile distant from where Nora lived. John died of a very bad disease and his wife was very lonely after him. She went to Nora to find out if she saw John. Nora said she did but that he was at the end of the crowd because he had broken stockings on him. John's wife was very lonely and went home and told the story to a neighbouring woman.
    We will make a pair of stockings now she and we will give them to a beggarman that needs a pair of stockings. They made the stockings and gave them to a beggarman for God's sake.
    John's wife went to Nora to find out if she saw John. Nora said she did and that he was in the middle of the crowd of "Good People" because he had a very nice pair of new
