is money given as dowry and long ago there were stock and goods given.
None of the people in my house remember any marriages that took place. The customs which are observed on a wedding day are feasting and dancing. Wherever the wedding feast is held straw-boys visit the house. The straw-boys dress themselves with straw-hats and old clothes and some of them play fiddles and more of them dance and the people give them drink and food.
Long ago, the people attending the wedding raced on horses and on the way home the wives sat with their husbands on the horses.
