  1. There is a graveyard in Kilbarry and the ruins of St. Barry's Church is there to the present day. St. Barry's little room is there also, where it is said lunatics are cured.
One time when St. Barry was preaching in Tarmonbarry, he had a deer to carry his books. St. Barry prayed, and said that wherever his deer would lie, he would erect his church. Some time after, the deer went straight for Kilbarry, and to fulfill his promise St. Barry erected his Church there.
The ruins are very ancient looking, and they were built very well in olden days. They appear very high also. People are still buried in Kilbarry Cemetery. There is a large stone wall enclosing the Cemetery.
