  1. The hens.
    1-12-1938.
    We have sixty hens at home. In the winter they lay about every second day and in the summer they lay nearly every day.
    They are kept in a hen house. The hen house is white-washed on the inside and on the outside. There is a roost in it on which they roost on.
    We feed them with potatoes that are left after out dinner and indian meal.
    When hens are hatching we generally put thirteen eggs to be
