  1. Long ago before any roads were made the people of Arigna came up through Corrigeenroe and up through Townalaura by paths. When they came as far as the Curlew they went the rest of the way by an old "boheen" known as Boheen Cuan.
    They had creel loads of coal an asses and when they reached Boyle, they sold their loads for two pence and two pence half-penny.
