  1. Warts.
    Get a knotted straw and put it on the top of the wart. Then bury the straw and according as the straw decays the wart will disappear.
    Get a snail, it must be found accidentally, and rub it on the wart with the Sign of the Cross. Then put the snail on a white-thorn bush and if the snail dies the wart will die.
    Get a new potatoe and cut it in two and rub the inside part on the wart.
    Wash the hands in forge water.
    Put Holy Water on the wart for three Fridays.
    Put the milk from wart weed on the wart.
    Clillblains.
    Wash your feet in salt water
    Rub parafin oil on them
    Rub a raw onion on them
    Put dry mustard on them with a cloth.
    Sore Throat
    Fry salt and put it in a stocking and put it round your neck.
    Put black currant jam in a cup and pour boiling water on it and drink it.
    Thrush.
    Put goose grease on your tongue.
