    Classical reading and chemistry and there is no doubt that he satisfied a very good career when he served Ireland for he became qualified as a Lecturer in Chemistry. He came qualified in this subject as his father decided to make him a doctor. But he would not be satisfied to be a doctor.
    He went to Paris first and had a very good time in a Student Quarter, where he made many friends and felt as if he was at home. It is said that he travelled on foot a great part of Europe.
