    night he tied a bull near his monastery so as to warn him if anyone came. During the night the bull roared and Saint Fintan chased his enemy which was a witch until he came to a well called " Cluenys well " in the townland of Coolenareen and the witch disappeared there. It is about three miles from Clonenagh.
    Saint Fintan blessed the well which he used at Clonenagh. After his death the people regarded it as a holy well and flocked to it every year on the anniversary of his death. The field in which
