A few years ago there was a family living in Coolrain. One night they were in bed and the bed that the man of the house was sleeping in was whirled three times around the room. The man was not asleep and he got such a fright that he could not go to sleep. Very early next morning he went to the priest in Camross and told him what had happened. The priest came and said a mass in the house. Ever since then no one got a fright in that house.
