At the time that hedge school was there, there was no county road there but was at least a quarter of a mile away, The road that stretches from Adare's house to "Millaghanard Cross" belonged to the field where the hedge school was situated. The teacher that taught in that hedge school was a Thady Maher whp used to stay in the children's homes from time to time.
