Another evening a young lad was sent up at night-fall for a horse and he dropped on a little red man mending boots and when he was going up to him the little red man ran away and left his last and hammer behind him. The boy took them home with him but his mother made him run back as quick as he could and leave them where he got them as they were so small she knew that they belonged to the fairies.
