  1. Churning
    We have a churn at home. It is three feet high. It is two feet at the top and two feet at the bottom. A churn is narrower in the centre than in any other part of it. It is fourteen years old. A churn has round sides. The various parts are called the stalf, the lid, and the cappan. There are also two handles on each side of a churn. We churn about twice a week in the summer, and once a week in the winter. People who come in sometimes help to churn.
