  1. About forty years ago a fierce storm swept over our district.
    Houses were knocked down and everything in the destroyed. Trees were knocked down in many places. Hay which was in hay-barns or in ricks was scattered about every-place.
    People stayed up all night praying that the storm would not knock the house down on their heads. Happily the dwelling houses were spared.
