a woman named Thornton brought milk to the Dominicians secretly. She met a soldier one evening who bribed to tell where they were hidden. On the same evening she brought the milk in a can and having put a hole in the gallon she entered the dungeon by means of a secret passage. As she went along the milk dripped on the ground leaving a trail for the Crom-wellians. The soldiers followed the trail and soon captured the inmates of the dungeon and they became the prey of Crom-well's Ironsides.
