    St Stephen's Day is a very exciting day in the City of Kilkenny. Men and chaps make a procession and go around from house to house looking for money.They sing many songs but the particular one they sing on that day is the wren song.
    "The wren the wren the king of all birds
    St. Stephen's day she was caught in the firs.
    We hunted up
    We hunted her down
    We hunted her in to Bonnettstown.
    This song is often repeated on that day.
