From the earliest times the benefits of travelling have been known and appreciated. In earlier times travelling was limited in comparison with travel of the present day. In Homer's time the world was supposed to be centred about the Mediterranean.
Travelling is a very important means of education, and this fact has been recognised for many centuries past. It is a very instructive and also a very interesting hobby, as in travel we come into contact with other people, see them in their natural settings and study their customs.
