    year 1666,and in the 1684 the Duke of Ormond endowed it with various rectories and tithes and placed at its head Dr. Hinton, a Graduate of Oxford. Dr. Hinton the Headmaster went to England in 1688, and the school became broken up. The College is entered from John Street, but is seen to best advantage from the Canal Walk.
