    Let ye people draw near and hear what I am going to relate
    If all the great wonderful wonders that I have seen of late
    I saw a small trout devouring a very large whale
    And the royal Exchange concealed in the shell of a snail
    I saw Barrickhill in the bill of small bantam hen
    And Kilkenny town going down to Sitandspellen
    I ssaw Enniskellin distilling strong whiskey in Athy
    And the Empress of Greece plucking geese in a village close by
    I saw an old ram beat a drum in the town of Iralee.
    And an overgrown pig dance a jig
