    There were three men named O'Brien who intended emigrating with their neighbours. Two of them went, but the third man hadn't his corn "scutched" or threshed in time, so he could not pay his passage. This man "stuck" on in Brownsford, and his descendants are now owners of the largest farm in Brownsford - Richard Walsh, who is married to a woman of the O'Brien's.
