  2. In olden times there were no watches or clocks. When the cock crew in the morning the old people believed that it was about four o'clock and about five when it crew again.
    They used know the time by looking at the sun.
    When it was in the East it was morning, when it was in the South it was midday, When it was in the West it was late in the evening.
