- My mother has a churn at home. It is about two foot high and fifteen inches wide.
The name of it is a plunge churn. It consists of a number of parts namely the lid the dash and the casher. There are no marks on the bottom or sides of it. My mother or sister do the churning.
Strangers or anybody that come in during the churning always give a hand because it is an old saying that if anybody came in while you were churning and did not give a hand at it they would bring all the butter.
