   To make blast ointment get some grounsel and marsh mallows and a plant called "the blast herb". Put some unsalted butter in a "grioset" and melt it. Then put the chopped plants into the melted butter. Boil them until all the juice is boiled out of the herbs. Then strain off the juice and let it set. Rub this ointment three times for three days on the affected part.

   There used to be a bonfire in Mr Quinn's field on the 29th of July. There is a plant called "Rícthóg" and some people use it to cure skin diseases.
   They boil it and they drink the juice.
