- Sliabh a' MharbhuightheHere on the mountain-side in the townland of Dromlusk, Parish of Sneem, Co. of Kerry a party of Cromwellian soldiers surprised a small remnant of an Irish fighting force and completely annihilated them.
- Askive (Eas Uí Chuibh)Local tradition has it that a priest who was 'on the run' in Penal times was murdered there by Cromwellian soldiers whose headquarters was at Kenmare. His name was Fr. John Keeffe. On the 28th July each year people go to this place which contains a small lake and they perform 'Rounds'. There is a very ancient holly on the verge of the Lake and it is full of Pins, pieces of cloth and other articles which the pilgrims always leave when they have their rounds performed.
