  1. Coming from Bantry Fair
    There was a man coming home from Bantry fair, and near Caher School there is a place for horses to take a drink. He was on horse back. It was about twelve o' clock. He stopped to give his horse a drink, and he saw an other man on horse back coming towards him. He stopped to give his horse a drink also. The man coming from the fair asked him. "Isnt it late you are out". Isnt it late for you. Dont you know the night is for the dead, and the day for the living. The man went home
